We have been looking at how we can improve access to Practice services; DoctorLink is our new online service where you can access advice and appointments on line.

For all urgent appointments, we ask that you undertake a symptom assessment through DoctorLink.
The symptom checker will ask you a number of questions to help to identify your problem.
The outcome of your assessment will direct you to the right treatment, whether emergency care, your GP, nurse or self-care.
If your outcome indicates that an appointment is required at The Tickhill and Colliery Medical Practice, you simply click on the “book an appointment” button and book your appointment directly.
If no appointments are available, you will see a “request an appointment” button, please click this.
Once the request has been submitted, you will then be contacted by the Practice Team, to arrange an appointment within the identified timeframe (as outlined in the outcome of your symptom checker).
The information you provide will be shared with our clinical team (where appropriate) and will assist in providing robust information of your problem to the required clinical team member prior to your appointment.

We are a semi rural practice operating from two surgeries 3 miles apart, both of which are fully equipped and patients attend one or the other surgery. The majority, 6000 patients are registered at Tickhill and approximately 3200 from Bircotes / Harworth and the surrounding villages.
Tickhill is a prosperous semi rural community with some strong local farming roots. Bircotes and Harworth are mining villages, with some areas of deprivation following the closure of the local Colliery and other small manufacturing sites.
The practice has a GMS contract and is a high achiever of QoF points.
The practice operates a ZERO tolerance policy, our staff are here to help and not to be abused this will NOT under any circumstances be accepted appropriate action would be considered and if necessary implemented.
Good news from the Tickhill and Colliery Medical Practice we are one of 4 hubs in the Doncaster Locality and are able to offer further Saturday morning and evening pre booked appointments this is in addition to the Saturday mornings we have already offered which will be held weekly at the Colliery site. EXTENDED ACCESS APPOINTMENTS OUTSIDE OF PRACTICE HOURS

Extra appointments are being provided in the evening and at weekends across Doncaster. The service is an extension of what we the practice offers with our routine and same day appointments with a range of clinicians including GPs, Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals.
When using the service, you may not see your usual doctor, but we do employ clinicians from local practices where possible.
With your consent, our clinicians will be able to access your healthcare record to ensure they can offer the right treatment for you, and prescribe medication or refer you for further treatment if necessary.

In the event that the Hub receives a complaint regarding the clinical care provided by the service or clinical staff providing the extended access services, the Hub should ask the complainant to write to PCD at the following address:
